We announce the death of Dennis L. Burdette Sr. of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 76. Dennis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Burdette and Forest Burdette; his son Dennis L. Burdette, Jr.; his grandson Micah Burdette; and his brother-in-law Tiny Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Burdette; his children, Rachel Mace (Jeremy) and Christopher Burdette (Ynna); his daughter-in-law Michelle Burdette; his siblings, Danny Burdette (Sandy), Timothy Burdette and Lena Carter; his grandchildren, Isaac, Adrian, Marissa, Gavin, Blake, Warren and Chandler; and his great grandchild Kyler.
A reception will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Gatens-Harding Funeral Home (147 Main St, Poca, WV 25159). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
