She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Ballard and Hank Ballard; her husband Larry "Randy" Means; and her siblings, Glenna Mason, Linda Ballard and Michael Ballard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly Wayland (Jeff) and Michele Means; her grandchildren, Kevin Wayland (Rejane), Ali Vance (Derek), Amber Wayland, Haley Wayland (Taj) and Hayden Means; her great grandchildren, Landon Wooddell and Paisley Vance; and her brother Jimmy Ballard (Susie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Graceland Memorial Park (100 Graceland Cir, South Charleston, WV 25309).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that monetary donations be made in Sue's honor to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association to support her lifelong passion for animal rescue and her deep love for the animals she cared for throughout her life.
