He was predeceased by : his grandmother Juanita Watts; his uncles, Thomas Watts, Johnnie Watts, Norman Caldwell and Robert Smith; his aunt Marilyn Caldwell; and his nephew Alex Neophytou.

He is survived by : his daughter Brittany Davis Clements (John "Bam") of Cross Lanes; his granddaughters, Ca'Mya and Brooklyn; his parents, Brenda Alston of Goldston and Bishop Horace "Roy" Smith of Tallahassee, Florida; his stepfather Granville Davis of Goldston; his former life partner Sandy Davis of Charleston; his siblings, Tracy Dorsey Chapman (Stephen) of Charleston, Beverly Jones of Charleston, Minister Valerie Wilkerson, Kim Smith, Horace Smith and Lorenza Smith of Tallahassee; and also Sabrina Smith of Tallahassee. He is also survived by nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (423 Shrewsbury St, Charleston, WV 25301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
