She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Deskins and Frankie Childress Deskins; her husbands, Carvel Jack Vance, Curtis A. Plantz and Chuck Higgins; and her son Benjamin C. Vance.
She is survived by: her children, Harvey Vance (Sue) of Coppers Creek, Jacqueline Hill of Easley, Kenneth Vance (Judy) of Poca, Danny Vance of Charleston and Leslie Vance (Sandy) of Elkview; and her siblings, Glenna Keen of Grundy, Virginia, Harlen, Wendell Deskins of Grundy, Remar Deskins of Abingdon, Wayne Deskins of Charleston and Larry Deskins of Grundy, Virginia. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Stevens & Grass Funeral Home (4203 Salines Dr, Malden, WV 25306). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
