She is survived by: her children, Mary Ellen Farris McDavid of South Charleston, WV, Dr. David R. Farris of Parkersburg, WV and George Farris (Kathleen Cather Farris) of Elkview, WV; her grandchildren, Anthony James McDavid of Avon Lake, OH and Lorien Starr McDavid of Orlando, FL; her stepgrandchildren, Sarah Gibbs of Beaufort, SC, Patricia Kristine, Danielle Nicole Ward of Elkview, WV, Jonathan Tye Cather of Mishawaka, IN and James Eldridge Wood of Modesto, CA; and her great grandchildren, Scarlett McDavid and James McDavid of Avon Lake, OH..

“Timmy, David and Mary Ellen, I have so many memories of your sweet Mom from my early childhood . She was the “go to” person on Lyndale Dr. If there was a question, call Starr. If someone was hurt, call Starr. If you had two baby snakes in the garage, call Starr.. As a nurse she was the trusted and admired by the families that were blessed to know her.
