He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl F. Lane and Pauline Lilly Lane; and his son Robert "Dink" Lane. He is survived by : his girlfriend Wanda Boone; his sons, Frank Lane (Sam) of Hilldale, WV, Greg Lane (Vickie) of Pence Springs, WV and Jeff Lane (Sadie) of Madams Creek, WV; and his siblings, Jerry Lane (Alice) of Hilldale, WV and Carolyn Jones (Mason) of Princeton, WV. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pivont Funeral Home (100 Park Ave, Hinton, WV 25951). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Pivont Funeral Home Chapel Pivont Funeral Home (100 Park Ave, Hinton, WV 25951).
