He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Fugate (Fugate) and Phyllis Fugate; his daughter Melissa Perry; his brother Clarence "Wayne" Fugate; and his niece Darlena Lanham.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary (Cara) and Larry (Kelly); his siblings, David (Carolyn), Roger of Charleston, Paul (Teresa), Linda Lanham, Sandra Jones (Carl Burford) of Charleston and Sherry Branscomb (Billy Bob); and his close friend Butch Townsend (Gary). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
