He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shamblin and Elizabeth Shamblin (Harding); his son Jeremy L. Shamblin; and his grandchildren, Cody and Haylee Shamblin.
He is survived by: his daughter Stacy Layne (Jeff Layne); and his sisters, Charlotte, Sherry and Tammy. He is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
