Gavin Young Obituary

We announce the death of Gavin Young (Charleston, West Virginia), who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 24. Gavin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Gavin will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Gavin will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Gavin’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was predeceased by: his father Timothy Young; and his grandparents, Charles, Delores Young and Barbara Kitchen. He is survived by: his mother Kimberly Kitchen Young; and his close friends, Mason (Serenity Hamrick) and Callen Young. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many lifelong friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Living Hope Church (5345 Big Tyler Rd, Charleston, WV 25313). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
