He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence William Hanshaw and Hettie Scraggs Hanshaw; his siblings, Clyde Hanshaw of Charleston, Fred Hanshaw of Sissonville, Robert "Bob" Hanshaw, Eddie Joe Hanshaw, Violet White and Shirley Escue of Charleston; his son Ricky Hanshaw of Sissonville; his grandchildren, Derek Hanshaw of Sissonville and Jillian Bowen of Kanawha City; his daughter-in-law Betina "Tina" Hanshaw of Sissonville; and his daughter Pat Boggess of Charleston.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Hanshaw; his children, Randy Hanshaw of Sissonville and Kandi Hanshaw Burdette of Sissonville; his son-in-law Tony Burdette of Sissonville; his granddaughters, Kara and Alicia Hanshaw of Sissonville; his great grandchildren, Laraya and Jai Bowen of Kanawha City; and his siblings, Clarence Wayne Hanshaw of Charleston, Gertrude George and Barbara Patton of Sissonville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
