James Kenneth "Ken" Tolley, age 76, of Rand, passed away April 12, 2019 after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary; his parents, Ambrose and Ruth Tolley; and sister, Imogene.

Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving in a military intelligence capacity overseas in Vietnam. Ken was a devoted husband, as well as a caring father and grandfather.

Ken is survived by his children; James K. II (Frances) and Richard (Tana); his grandchildren; James K. III (Tabitha), Sarah, and Marissa B. Tolley; and a great-granddaughter: Caroline. Also surviving are siblings; Ed, Earl (Brenda), Frank, and Roger (Karen).

Ken expressed a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ, and proceeds to a long-anticipated reunion with Mary. The family appreciates the thoughts and prayers of the community as they privately celebrate Ken's life. In lieu of flowers, please honor Ken's love of animals with a donation to the Kanawha County Humane Association.
