He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Downey and Willie Mae Downey; his brother William Downey; and his son Jesse Downey Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Downey (Bowles); his children, Leanna Colston and Shane Downey (Karla); his daughter-in-law Shelley Downey; his grandchildren, Cassidy Colston, Jenna, Lane Downey, Brooke Lanham and Chad Conrad; and his sister Joyce Stevens (David). He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
