He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen "Tootsie" Doss and Louis Lanyi; and his close friend Jimmy Arehart. He is survived by: his wife Doreen Ball Lanyi of Charleston; his daughter Robin Turturice of St. Albans; his son-in-law Guy Turturice; his granddaughters, Rhianna and Rhylee Turturice; his stepgrandson Lance Turturice; his siblings-in-law, Donna, Patrick Mahaffey and Janet Levenson; and his nephew Nicholas Ball.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home (1118 Virginia St E, Charleston, WV 25301). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
