He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex Matheny and Marie Matheny; and his grandparents, Roy and Ruby Matheny. He is survived by: his wife Beulah Matheny; his son Dan Gardner (Kathy Goff); his granddaughters, Jessica Thomas (Cole Roberts) and Hannah Gardner (Kenzi Evans); his great grandchildren, Juliette Thomas, Collin Thomas and Brooks Roberts; and his siblings, Jill Rice (Mike), Lisa Collum (Geoff), Lynn Fizer (Rick) and Chris Hutchinson (Charlotte). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
