He is survived by: his wife Louise Kuhn Thaxton; his nieces and nephews, Robbie, Beth Stewart, Stevie, Heather Thaxton, Tina, Christian Hill, Jason Stewart and Jeff Reed; his aunts, Opal Payne and Kathy Reed; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aden, Owen Thaxton, Stanton Hill, Lilly Green and Chelsea Coffman.
