He is survived by: his son Michael Adkins Jr.; and his siblings, Arthur Adkins Jr. (Bessie), Anthony L. Adkins, Joyce L. Thomas, Denise Adkins-Lewis (Buck), Pamela Williams (Kenneth), Kimberly Adkins-Irving (Merrill) and Kessell L. Adkins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
