She was predeceased by: her husbands, Allen Ross Dent and Woodson C Akers; her son Dale Robert Dent; and her stepson Russell Akers. She is survived by: her son Dirk A Dent (Pam) of Gordonville, TX; her grandchildren, Cristen Colodin (Jeff) of Flourtown, PA and Creighton Dent (Katie) of Bucks County, PA; her daughter-in-law Teresa Dent; her granddaughter Briana Dent of Dunbar, WV; and her stepchildren, Timothy Akers (Deborah) of Parkersburg, WV, Frank Akers (Zecile) of St Albans, WV and Joni Copen of St Albans, WV. She is also survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Snodgrass Funeral Home (4122 MacCorkle Ave SW, Charleston, WV 25309). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
