He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward W. Prunty and Pauline Meredith Prunty; and his siblings, William Prunty (Instructor) and Betty van Hook. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bowles Prunty; his sons, David Patick Mezzanotte and Aaron Craig Prunty; his daughter-in-law Anne Mezzanotte; his siblings, Nancy Myers and Allen Prunty of Charleston; and his grandchildren, Jason Mezzanotte, Jordan Mezzanotte Toothman, Gianna Mezzanotte and Lucca Mezzanotte. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
