She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Fortner and Grace Fortner; her husband Joe Bowery; and her siblings, Guy, Don, Lewis, Todd, Bud, Bob (Hoghead) and Ramona Wooten.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Anne Bowery Carlton of Charleston and Joseph E. Bowery II (Connie) of South Charleston; her grandchildren, Sarah Newhouse (Jarred), John Carlton, Matt Bowery and Joey Bowery; her great grandchildren, Jaxson Newhouse, Beckett Newhouse and Brianna Bowery; and her caregivers, Margaret Small, Pat Setser, Kathy Spry, Sheila Chandler, Kathy Smith and Terri Atkinson.
