Mullen (Catherine) of Charleston, WV., Ryan Schmidt (Melanie), Emma Schmidt, Kelly, Christina Folkers, Payton, Mills, Claire Mullen, Tucker and Matthew Mullen; and her great grandchild Gia M. Schmidt.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Gathering Room at the Basilica. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, May 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Basilica of the Co-Cathedral (1114 Virginia St E, Charleston, WV 25301).

“My deepest condolences to Ruth's family. I met Ruth at Sacred Heart Basilica during 10:30am Sunday Mass. Ruth was my pew buddy. She sat on one end and I the other. We greeted each other and often discussed what was said in the announcements at the end. She was such a sweet,independent and beautiful Lady. I will surely miss her on Sunday.
