He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren G. Reed and Colleen Reed; his siblings, Warren "Butch" Reed and Carolyn Reed; and his grandson Jacob Alec Reed.

He is survived by: his children, Melissa McMillen (Ken) of Pittsburgh, PA and Brian Reed of Charleston; his grandchildren, Hannah, Cade McMillen, Emily and Kagen Reed; and his brothers, Chuck, Mike Reed (Teresa) and Gary Reed (Gerry).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snodgrass Funeral Home (4122 MacCorkle Ave SW, Charleston, WV 25309). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
