We announce the death of Thomas Alfred Mooney of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 90. Thomas will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Mooney and Sabie Mooney. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ann Mooney; his sister Patsy Pauley (Bill); his sons, Thomas Michael Mooney (Anna) and Mark Alfred Mooney (Laura); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Frederick, Phinehas, Zachary, Rebecca and Kellsey.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery (130 Academy Dr, Dunbar, WV 25064).
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Union Mission.
