He was predeceased by: his parents, Mimie Brown (Walter Bazemore) and Joseph Brown; his siblings, Walter Brown, Marion Burton, Walter Bazemore, Patricia Powell, Mary Miller, Nora Lee and Gracie Bazemore; his children, Cheryl Burton, Deborah Moore and Michael Butler; and his granddaughter Melanie Burton.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Morris of Coalburg, WV; his siblings, Ace Brown, Ada Draughon, Frankie Bazemore and Bernice Brown; and his daughters, Sherry Burton, Sharon Bailey (Jon) of Elizabeth, WV and Virginia Butler-Askew (Brian) of South Charleston. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
