He was predeceased by: his father Ward Hessler; and his siblings, Charles "Buck" Hessler, Tom Hessler, Mary Ellen Hessler Lightner and Dianne Hessler.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Stotler Hessler; his children, Donald Craig Hessler (Pam) of Berkeley Springs and Penny Hessler Houck (Willy) of Cherry Run; his grandchildren, Jodi Lewis Bolyard of Niles, MI, Chelsea Hessler Delph, Scott Hessler of Berkeley Springs, Macy Houck Cole of Cherry Run and Megan Houck of Berkeley Springs; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Zane Bolyard of Niles, MI and Emma Delph of Berkeley Springs; and his sisters, Doris Hessler Riner of Romney, WV and Nancy Hessler Yost of Berkeley Springs. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
