Carl Childers Obituary
We announce the death of Carl Childers of Chester, West Virginia, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 72. Carl will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Eugene Childers; his nephew Scott Mills; and his brother-in-law Dennis Mills. He is survived by: his mother Barbara "Bobbie" Ward Childers of Weirton; his wife Eileen Mae Hartung Childers; his children, Carl Alan Childers (Amanda) of Grant, MI, Andrew Vulgamore (Dana) of East Liverpool, Chris Childers (Brandy Tilley) of Gardner, IL, Frederick Vulgamore (Michelle) of Rock Hill, SC and Ryan Childers (Katelyn) of Scott Depot, WV.; his grandchildren, Linsey Barnhouse (Alex), Peyton Vulgamore, Brody Vulgamore, Caitlin Childers, Chloe Childers, Savannah Childers, Kash Childers, Kieler Childers, Hazel Childers, Lucy Childers, Jaxon Vulgamore and Riley Vulgamore; and his siblings, Mark Childers (Glenda), Barbara Childers-Mills and Karen Witherow (Jim). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Cumberland Christian Church (100 S Ct St, New Cumberland, WV 26047).
