He was predeceased by : his parents, George P. Summers Sr. and Edna Summers (Rolley). He is survived by : his wife Jerry Lynn Summers (Wilson); his children, Teresa Crawford (Bill), Jordan and Owen; his siblings, Charles "Ed" Summers and Mary Jane Cunningham (Bill); his sons, George and James; his grandchildren, Alexis, Cameron and Parker; and his pets, Odie and Murphy.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Arner Funeral Chapel (607 Carolina Ave, Chester, WV 26034). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
