In loving memory of John Sprout of Chester, West Virginia, who departed this world on March 2, 2026 at the age of 71. John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Virgil Sprout and Sara Mae Williams Sprout; and his siblings, Shirley Beaver, Lenora Saracco, Wanda Donahue, Robert Sprout, Raymond Sprout, Darlene Rearly and Carol Sue Gamble.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon M. Sprout; his sons, Derek B. Thompson (Pam Thompson) of East Liverpool, OH, John M. B. Sprout Jr. (Kandie Sprout) of Chester, WV and Jason Sprout (Tamara Sprout) of Minerva, OH.; and his grandchildren, Zachary, Brett Thompson, Joey Wells, Mackenzie, Jordan and Payton Sprout.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Arner Funeral Chapel (607 Carolina Ave, Chester, WV 26034). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at the Locust Hill Cemetery.
