He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Lee Allen and Helen Ratliff Allen; his brother Marshall "Buddy" Ratliff; his nephew Michael Todd Allen; his brother-in-law Jeff Collins; and his niece Marsha Kay Hamm.

He is survived by: his fiancée Barbara Hardy; and his siblings, Geneva Mcclamrock, Judy Gabrels (Bobby), Richard "Sam" Allen (Cindy) of Bridgeport, Ruby Fratt (John) of Bridgeport, Brenda "Sue" Greynolds (Jaimie) of Clarksburg, Ernie Allen (Sis) of Clarksburg, Louise Collins of Salem and David Allen (Paula) of New Zealand. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
