She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl L. Boylen and Lela Lenora Nestor Boylen; her husband James William "Bill" Summers; her daughters, Nancy Jeanne Summers and Linda Carol Summers; her sisters, Janet Sue Ward and Mary Kathryn Shafferman; and her grandson Matthew Carson Mullen.

She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Sue Mullen (Carson) of Dumfries, VA and Anne Marie Haught of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Alberta Haught (Christopher Lewis), James Hunter Mullen (Ashley) of Woodbridge, VA, Kara Suthard (Robert Lee Suthard) of Lorton, VA, Josey Casto (Michael Frost) of Philadelphia, PA and Paul Edward Casto (Katy) of Morgantown; her great grandchildren, Liam Mullen, Victoria Elizabeth Suthard, Valerie Suthard, Christian Lewis and Francesca Frost; and her son-in-law Paul Casto of Morgantown.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Home (124 Olen Thomas Dr, Clarksburg, WV 26301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
