He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Patterson and Goldie Green Patterson; and his siblings, Don Patterson, Joanne Barberio, Nancy Smith and Margaret Barberio.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jean Clayton Patterson; his son Mark Patterson (Alicia) of Salem; his granddaughter Nancy Davisson (Zach) of Fairmont; and his great grandchildren, Rhett and Hattie Davisson.
