He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Lewis Criner and Pearl McIntyre Criner of Georgia; his wife Claudia Elaine Knight Criner; his grandson Bernard Lee "Tike" Jenkins; and his siblings, Yvonne Doris Wanstreet, Eugene "Buddy" Criner and Robert Lewis Criner, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Allen Criner (Sharon) of Yachats, OR, Barbara Noreen Koch (Bill) of Douglasville, GA, Michele Alden Jenkins of Chester, MD, Jerri Lynn Hinebaugh of Bridgeport and Aimee Lea Wright (Joseph) of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Rachel, Kassi, Stephen, Ashlea, Shelby, Jordan, Jacob, Chloe, Joshua Joey, Sarah and Carter; and his great grandchildren, Nick, Logan, Carlee, Brooklyn, Sydney, Jayden, Rylee, Jessey, Jacob and Sedona. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
