With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene Carter of Clarksburg, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 22, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Eunice Bell Mackey Golden; her son David Joseph Carter; and her sister Bootsy Williams. She is survived by: her husband Joe Carter; her sons, Clinton Ray Carter (Thea) of Hartsville, OH and John Robert Wade Carter of Clarksburg; her grandchildren, Camden, Colton, Cody, Chelsea and Joey; her brother Bob Ford of Madison, WI; and her in-laws, Duane Williams of Clarksburg, Brooks of Clarksburg and Kay Sharp of Clarksburg.
