He is survived by: his son James William Cox Jr. (Wendy); his grandson Cody William Cox; his sisters, Victoria Atkins of Burton, WV, Elizabeth "Beth" Cottillion of Venice Beach, FL and Frances "Jeanie" Brisson of Sarasota, FL.; and also Ruth Marie Cox.
