He is survived by: his wife Barbara Compton (McIntyre); his sons, Ryan Compton of Clarksburg and Chris Compton of Clarksburg; his brothers, Gerald H. Compton (Karen) of Philippi and Allen W. Compton of Clarksburg; and his grandchildren, Claire Compton, Logan Compton and Caelynn Compton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
