He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert E Emerson and Luvada Wilfong Emerson; and his siblings, Lenora "Lee" Cross and Warren Emerson. He is survived by : his wife of 39 years, Vickie Lee Lowther Emerson; his children, Samantha (Rick) Kelley, John-Paul Emerson, Joseph (Gabriel) Emerson, and JL (Charles) Emerson; his grandchildren, Christian, Hannah, Noah, Emma, Evan and Leah; and his sister, Joyce Emerson and brother Robert "Bobby" (Sharon) Emerson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
