It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Stanton Jr. of Clarksburg, West Virginia, who passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John W. Stanton and Betty Jean Louchery Stanton. He is survived by : his wife Kristine E. "Kris" Fansler Stanton; his son John William "Billy" Stanton, III (Tracie) of Mesa, AZ; his grandchildren, Heather Lee Stanton and Brittnie Ann Stanton; his pet Bowie; his sister Sharon Ann Miller (Dave) of Bridgeport; and his siblings-in-law, Anne Coffman (John) of Vienna, WV and John Fansler (Brenda) of Vienna, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
