She was predeceased by: her father Jerome Boyd Pernell; and her brother Charles "Charlie" Pernell. She is survived by: her mother Marion Elizabeth Wilson Pernell of Clarksburg; her husband Gregory Glenn Broadwater; her children, Samantha Jean Hutson of Clarksburg, Christopher Ryan Broadwater (Molly) of Clarksburg and William Raymond Broadwater (Samantha Sharpe) of Clarksburg; her grandchildren, Jasmine Elizabeth Hutson and Dean William Sharpe; and her siblings, Jerome "Jerry" Boyd Pernell Jr. (Sharon) of Bridgeport, Michael Pernell of Clarksburg, Elizabeth "Beth" Laurel (Jeff) of Greenwood, DE and Andrea Pernell of Clarksburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
