With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Emerson of Clarksburg, West Virginia, born in Salem, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 20, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Julius Raymond and Ethel Mae Bunnell Matthey; her husband Nolan Fay "Bud" Emerson of Bristol, WV.; and her brother Daniel Matthey. She is survived by : her children, Carrie (Carl Brainard), Mary (Kevin Lough) and Sandy (Brian Funk); her grandsons, Loren Brainard (Toni), Benjamin Brainard (Kimberly) and Aaron Brainard (Karrie); her children, Jacob Lough (Faith), Caleb Lough, Trevor Funk (Casie) and Haleigh Butler (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Eli, Wade, Waylon, Leo, Jaycie and Ava Brainard; her grandchildren, Camden, Evan, Ellis, Nolan Lough, Everley, Dorothea, Callahan Funk and Kasen Butler; her sisters, Janet Tate of Salem and Connie Cox (Harley) of Williamstown; and her sister-in-law Sandra Matthey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Home (124 Olen Thomas Dr, Clarksburg, WV 26301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or the Alzheimer's Association.
