He was predeceased by: his mother Edith Mayer McCourt Russell; and his sisters, Nancy McCourt White and Ingrid McCourt Todd. He is survived by: his son Brandon Stanley; and his siblings, Linda Luchuck (Fred) of Wallace, Dorothy "Dottie" Layton (David) of East View, Joeann Matko (Danny) of Mt Clare, Dorn McCourt (Mickey Petitto) of Nutter Fort and Stacy McCourt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
