He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Carl Plaugher and Katherine Viola Titchnell Plaugher; his siblings, Michael Carl Plaugher, Randy Blaine Plaugher, Denver Bryan Plaugher, Patrick Linc Plaugher, Katheryn Ann Suter, Joyce Ellen Lowther, Harriet Pauline Tichenor and Wyona Blanche Ash; and his brothers-in-law, Rick Southern, Raymond Ash (R. J.) and Larry Tichenor.
He is survived by: his close friend Connie; his sister Belinda Southern-Miles (Mike); and his aunt Helen Critchfield. He is also survived by one daughter, and one son; and many nieces and nephews.
