Sharon Nelson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Nelson (Clarksburg, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 5, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Berry Wells and James Brownie "J. B." Coleman; her stepparents, Rex Wells and Ova Coleman; her brother Max; her son Stephen Nelson; and her friend Becky Everly.

She is survived by: her husband John Hartley Nelson Jr.; her son Scott Nelson (Cynthia Sasser Nelson); her daughter-in-law Sheila Nelson; her grandchildren, Nikki Godfrey (Brandi Robinson), John Hartley Nelson III (Devin), Cole Nelson (Kara), Corey Nelson, Jessica Nelson and Alex Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Gracelynn Nelson, Avery Robinson, Jordan Robinson, Elliot Nelson, Cyrus Nelson, Holden Nelson and Denver Nelson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Home (124 Olen Thomas Dr, Clarksburg, WV 26301). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
