He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson Mason Jr. and Dona Lou Downs Mason; his former wife Karen Ewing Mason; his son Reid Mason; and his sister Linda Lou Mason Ash.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Mason; his son Brent Mason; and his grandchildren, Joe Mason and Phoebe Mason. He is also survived by many extended family members and lifelong friends.
