He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. "Jim" Stanley Sr. and Rita E. Currey (Cain); his former wife Tammy Stanley; and his children, Megan Murray and Timothy Stanley Jr. Tim (Kayla) of Clarksburg.

He is survived by: his wife Rachelle M. "Shelli" Stanley (Moore); his children, Timothy Chase Maxwell (Kayla) of Clarksburg, Tucker Stanley (fiancé Sierra Pritt) of Clarksburg and Torie Stanley (boyfriend Levi Riley) of Clarksburg; his siblings, Jim Stanley Jr. of Morgantown, Patty Britton (Daniel) of Independence and April Luzader (Jerry) of Clarksburg; and his grandchildren, Avery Maxwell, Jimothy Stanley and TJ Maxwell.
