She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell and Velma; her husband Bernard Allen Townsend; and her siblings, Ernest Larry Salisbury, Harold Salisbury and Janet Huff.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Ernest Larry Salisbury, Jr. of Arizona, Linda Pearson, Renee Huff and Robert Huff; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Eli Huff, Felix Sanchez, Junaida Al-Tikrity, Jessica Huff, Jordan Huff, Jocelyn Huff and Janessa Huff.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Elk Hills Memorial Park (4705 Pennsylvania Ave, Charleston, WV 25302). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
