Bernice Shafer Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Shafer of Clendenin, West Virginia, who passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Larry C. Shafer; her parents, Juanita Adkins Reed and Bernard Belcher; and her siblings, Linda Sue Moffatt and Gary Reed.

She is survived by: her daughter Sherri Burdette; her stepchildren, Cathy Paxton and Larry C. Shafer, Jr.; and her sister Neica Goodwin.
