He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Spradling and Phyllis Spradling; and his grandparents, Ira, Gladys Baxter, Albert and Minnie Spradling.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Larch Spradling; his daughter Heather Dolin (Dennis); his grandsons, Eli and Mason Dolin; and his siblings, Cris Spradling (Beth), Beverly Shock and Debra Spradling.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association.
