She was predeceased by : her parents, Calvin Mitchell and Opal Mitchell (Eddie Ferrell); and her siblings, Peggy Fizer and James Mitchell. She is survived by : her children, Ashley Ferrell and Kimberly Rucker; her granddaughter Brittany; and her siblings, Molly Malone, Ona Schoolcraft, Jane O'Quinn, Carol Rozanski, Sam Mitchell and Calvert Mitchell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brother in laws and sister in laws.

She suffered from Parkinson's Disease and had lived at Meadowbrook Nursing Home for the last 8 years.
