He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred "Fuzzy" Marks and Orla E. Poling Marks; his siblings, Stephen R. "Buck" Marks and Betty "Booboo" Goff; his children, Robbie Marks and Deana; and his siblings, Junie and Patty.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Marks; his children, Terry Marks, Cindy Boggs (Jake), Phillip and Doughlas Marks; his siblings, Jack Marks (Janet), Rick Marks (Roberta Bateman), Ernest "Ed" Marks (Audra), Danny "Nub" Marks (Shirley Ball), Joe B. Marks (Dianne Sampson) and Charmain Cash (Farris); his grandchildren, Katie "Bug" Slaughter (Scott) and Trenton "Jaybird" Boggs; and his pet Benny. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
