She was predeceased by: her parents, Awyard Lester and Carolina "Lina" Johnson Rhodes; her husband Maynard Marshall Murdock; her siblings, Donald Rhodes, Billy Rhodes, Retha "Mae" Stricker, Sylvia "Sib" Elswick and Betty "Bet" Burgess; and her son-in-law Roy Marshall Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vickie L. Smith of Walton, WV and Elaine K. Woods (Kevin) of Clendenin, WV; her siblings, James "Carl" Rhodes of Clendenin, WV and Thelma Tawney; her grandsons, Adam Smith (Terra) and Nathan Woods (Breanna); and her great grandchildren, Skylee and Hallee Keen-Smith.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Stump-Matics Funeral Home (8539 Elk River Rd N, Clendenin, WV 25045). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
