She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Strickland and Dessie Mae Rucker; her husband Ernest Young (Junior); her siblings, Harold Young, Robert Rucker, Doris Ann Carpenter and Vivian Shaffer (Red); her nephews, Allen Young (Junebug) and Kevin Shaffer; her great-nephew Hughie Scarberry; her pet Duke; Walker Zeppelin Moss.
She is survived by: her sister Patsy June Mullins; her aunt Margaret Belcher; her nieces and nephews, Bobby Dwayne Carpenter (Liz), Jesse Rucker (Kim), Jerry Shaffer (Amanda), Vickie Walker (Baby Girl), Debbie Means (Scott), Kimberly Ann Scarberry, Cheryl Ann Rucker, Haley Jordan Barlow (Haleybug) and Adam Shaffer; and her close friend Mae Smith.
